How to Use Class Forums and Galleries (Disqus)

Have a class-specific question? No problem. At the bottom of each lesson is a comment area. Mentors monitor the forum, so feel free to leave any lesson-related questions. We also encourage community involvement and love to see community members helping each other. Remember, we were all newbies at one time or another! (For site-related questions or technical issues, please submit a support request.)

The comment section is hosted by Disqus, so you'll need to set up an account. You can do this two ways:

1) Go to Disqus.com and sign up for an account by clicking on the Sign Up button. Once you're logged in, you'll be able to make comments on our site anytime (unless you log out of Disqus again, of course).

2) Scroll down to the comment section at the bottom of a lesson. (If you see a gray dialogue bubble, wait for the comment area to load.) Click in the "Start the discussion" box. This will allow you to either log in with Disqus (if you already have an account with Disqus) or sign up with Disqus.

Once you've signed in, you'll be able to make a comment. Remember to click the Post as [You] button to publish your comment!

Note: This is also our class gallery. To insert a web-sized image of your layout, click on the picture icon below your comment. This will open a dialogue box. Navigate to where you've saved your web-sized document, select it, and click Open. (For 12 x 12 layouts, we recommend that you save to 800px x 800 px. Images must be under 2 MB in size.)

As an alternative, you may also click on your layout in Finder or Explorer and drag into the comment box. (Open Finder/Explorer in a separate window from your browser.) This will trigger a "Drag and drop your images here to upload them" message.

Happy posting!

    Hmmm...
I liked the old site better. Much simpler to use! But, thank you, any way!
